Dr. CaLandra Pervis - Treasurer
Dr. CaLandra Pervis is a passionate educator and leader dedicated to preparing the next generation of teachers for success in diverse and dynamic classrooms. With over 25 years of experience in education, she has served in various roles, including mathematics classroom teacher, educational consultant, program leader, and higher education administrator.
Dr. Pervis currently serves as Department Chairman of Teacher Education and First Year Experiences at Lone Star College Kingwood, where she mentors aspiring educators, develops innovative curricula, and fosters partnerships with school districts and universities to promote teacher preparation and student success. She has also served as Co-Principal Investigator for the Title V Pathways to Teaching grant, supporting initiatives to strengthen teacher education preparation programs and increase opportunities for future educators.
In addition to her work in higher education, Dr. Pervis is deeply committed to student achievement and community engagement. She currently serves as Chairman of the Humble ISD Education Foundation, leading efforts to support educational initiatives and resources that benefit students, staff, and teachers across the district.
Dr. Pervis is a proud member of the Mu Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves as Chairman of the Waste Reduction-Shred and Electronic Recycling Committee which promotes sustainability and environmental responsibility within the community.
She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Texas Southern University, and a B.B.A. with a concentration in Industrial Engineering from Lamar University. Dr. Pervis’s dedication to excellence in education and service continues to positively impact students, educators, and communities across Texas and beyond.
