We are a nonpartisan organization created for civic and collaborative engagement in the Lake Houston area.

Our Mission

The Lake Houston Civic Engagement Coalition (LHCEC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Lake Houston area through strategic partnerships, civic education, and community empowerment. We engage residents in both political and non-political activities that are strictly nonpartisan, with a sustained focus on voter education, registration, and participation at the local, state, and national levels. Through collaboration and outreach, LHCEC works to build an informed, active, and resilient community.

Our Vision

We envision a Lake Houston where every resident is informed, empowered, and represented — where local leadership reflects the community it serves, every child has the support to succeed, and civic participation is a shared responsibility.
